THORA BIRCH is LAUREN MAULDIN

THORA BIRCH has been acting professionally since the age of six and THE COMPETITION is her first foray into the romantic comedy genre. Birch’s upcoming films include Phillip Noyce’s ABOVE SUSPICION, reuniting her with her director from PATRIOT GAMES and CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, opposite Emilia Clarke, Jack Huston, and Johnny Knoxville. This year, she’s also completed filming on the political thriller PUBLIC AFFAIRS and THE ETRUSCAN SMILE, starring opposite Brian Cox, Rosanna Arquette, and JJ Feild.

In addition to Thora’s SAG Award win for her much lauded turn in AMERICAN BEAUTY, she has been nominated for Golden Globe and Emmy Awards. Some of her most iconic roles also include those in GHOST WORLD, HOCUS POCUS, NOW AND THEN, ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS, and PARADISE.
 

CHRIS KLEIN is CALVIN CHESNEY

CHRIS KLEIN began his career when he was discovered by Director Alexander Payne and cast in "Election". Over the past two decades Klein's filmography has included playing a wide range of characters spanning different genres. He's played in ensemble comedies like the hit franchise "American Pie", the holiday favorite, "Just Friends", and a pivotal role in the Vietnam war film, "We Were Soldiers". He's also participated in indie dramas like "The Good Life" and "United States of Leland". As well as his film work, Kleinhas enjoyed a recurring role on the FX comedy, Wilfred and guest starring in both comedies and dramas like "Raising Hope" and "Motive".

CLAIRE COFFEE is GENA MAULDIN

CLAIRE COFFEE starred in NBC's hit drama series "Grimm" as hexenbiest Adalind Schade. “Grimm” aired for six seasons, concluding its final season in 2017. 

Claire’s acting credits include recurring roles on "Franklin & Bash," and the acclaimed NBC drama "The West Wing." She has guest starred on long-running shows such as "Royal Pains", "The League," "CSI," "Psych," "Bones" and "Cold Case." She also created and starred in the web series “Chelsey and Kelsey are Really Good Roommates,” which won Best Mobile Series at ITVFest in Los Angeles. She most recently starred opposite David Giuntoli in the comedy “Buddy-
moon”, which won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at 2016’s Slamdance Festival.

In addition to acting, Claire writes a fun & relatable fashion blog called Full Disclothesure (www.clairecoffee.com/full-disclothesure/), chronicling the nitty gritty reality of her red carpet adventures and beyond.
Claire was born in San Francisco and grew up performing in the regional the-
aters of Northern California -- notably The Mountain Play, Marin Civic Light Opera and The Western Stage. She graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., with a degree in theater. She currently resides in Portland with her husband, Chris, and her son, Calvin.

DAVID BLUE is JACOB HATCHER

DAVID BLUE is best known for his roles of Cliff St. Paul on “Ugly Betty” or through his portrayal of geek hero Eli Wallace on “Stargate Universe.” A lifelong actor, David began his career onstage, like most do, as a rat in “The Nutcracker.” Years of stage, film and television experience soon followed. You may have also seen him on everything from “Veronica Mars” to CBS’ “Moonlight” as vampire hacker Logan Griffen. TIFFANY FALLON is CORINNA

TIFFANY FALLON is an international TV personality and well renowned model who began her career after winning the title of Miss Georgia USA in 2001. Shortly thereafter, she placed 2nd runner-up at the Miss USA Pageant in a nationally televised event.

 

Since being named Playmate of the Year in 2005, this classic brunette beauty has been featured in countless print ads and commercials including the hugely popular Guitar Hero 5 “Risky Business” campaign. She graced the covers of numerous magazines and appeared in several TV programs for CBS, SPIKE, Fox Sports, TBS and CMT Networks as well competing in NBC’s first Celebrity Apprentice.

 

In 2006, Tiffany married guitarist Joe Don Rooney of the CMA & ACM Award winning trio Rascal Flatts. The couple starred in the Flatts' music videoCome Wake Me Up and currently resides in Nashville with their three beautiful children Jagger Donovan, Raquel Blue and Devon Olivia.

HENRY NOBLE is EDWARD HOCKETT

HENRY NOBLE is a graduate of the University of La Verne School of Arts. Henry also studied extensively at the Denver Center Theatre Academy. Some of his past credits include Z Nation, Touch less, and Grimm. In addition to working as an actor, Henry is a club DJ aka" DJ Noble" spinning for high profile events, charities and parties.

PHIL CHIN is KWAN

PHIL CHIN is originally from Portland, OR. Although he now lives in Seattle, he visits his beloved hometown frequently to get his fix of hipster food, overpriced donuts and craft IPAs. He started acting professionally during college to make extra money while studying his ass off. His acting background spans theatre, television, commercials and film. Like many guys his age he was inspired to get into acting after his mind was blown by a certain space opera trilogy and another trilogy about a daredevil archeologist. When he's not working he's either in the gym keeping fit or in the kitchen tinkering with one of his other passions, cooking. Trivia: He's a real deal black belt in Taekwondo.

MICHAEL DRAPER is SIMON WALKER

MICHAEL DRAPER studied at Seattle's Cornish College of the Arts where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. After graduation he became a founding member of the Seattle based theater group Implied Violence. For three years he helped create original works that combined elements of theater, performance art and modern dance. After growing restless in Seattle he decided to move to Portland, Oregon and turn his attention to his other passion; music. He has been writing, producing, performing and licensing blue collar rock n’roll. After success with his musical endeavors, he refocused on his acting career. This time geared toward film and television. He promptly signed with Option Model & Media and began booking projects large and small. Michael continues to push himself everyday to meet creative people and forge new artistic experiences. Whether it is film, television, the latest web-series or musical project, Michael will always bring his best and brightest self to the occasion.  

CATHERINE JOHNSON is CLEMIE MAULDIN

CATHERINE JOHNSON started her acting career in the Pacific Northwest where she has worked with top directors in the region.  She has since branched out to land roles working with filmmakers in LA and New York. 

From comedy to action and drama she always enjoys taking on a new role. A person who does not seek the spotlight but simply rather enjoys the art of acting and filmmaking, she is honored to be recognized for her performances, such as winning Best Actress in the 2014 Portland OR 48 Hr Film Festival and receiving great reviews for her lead role in the feature Gabby's Wish, a film that went on to win Audience Favorite at the Portland Oregon Women's Film Festival and Award of Merit at The Accolades.  Along with her acting she has experience in producing, casting and writing; giving her a great understanding of how the process of filmmaking works and making her a great asset to have on set.
 

TIM HARROLD is GARETT STUCKEY

TIM HARROLD was born in Hayward, California.  He is an actor and a producer based in Portland, Oregon.  He has been married to Kelly Harrold since 1996 and they have one child together.

RENATO SOLPIETRO is ALEJANDRO BARAZZA

RENATO SOLPIETRO was born in Naples (Italy) in July 1978. He earned a  Classic studies  degree in History and Literature at the Federico II University in Naples specializing in music and cinema then he moved to Rome to attend the School of Cinema.  In Naples he started very early to act in local acting Companies and his formation was based on the comic improvisation.

In Rome he attended actor’s Work-shops with Allan Miller and Bernard Hiller having his first contact with the American way to do Cinema . From then on he started to work on different Independent Films and National Fictions in Italy, writing his own standing up comedy shows and displaying them in the local theaters of Rome.

In Rome, 2008,  he met his American wife ( from Portland, Oregon) and got married in Naples

In 2014 Renato then moved to Portland with his family ( wife and kids) where he actually lives for about seven months a year, where he has had very important set experiences like Portlandia ( the series) and The Competition ( the movie )

He spends the rest of the year in Italy where he continues to work on Fictions, Movies and Plays.

KELSEY TUCKER is SHARON GOTTLIEB

KELSEY TUCKER has been writing and acting since middle school.  A Portland area local, she began acting in the theater, playing the Prince in The Toy Shop and Lucy in Seven Wives for Dracula.  Kelsey took a break from acting for several years, devoting herself to her legal practice and her family.  She returned to acting in 2012 and recently starred in the upcoming film VICTORY FORCE with Billy Zane, and in the featurette JUDITH, where she plays the role of Judith, a woman given 24 hours to discover what men truly want.  In 2015, Kelsey won the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the Portland Film Awards for her comedic portrayal of Marisa Martin in the short film No Oui.  Kelsey is thrilled to bring her original screenplay THE COMPETITION to life with this outstanding cast and crew.  Kelsey lives in Lake Oswego with her husband William and her son Dash.

JOSH RICE is DR. BRANDON COXX

JOSH RICE is an American Actor born in Nevada City, California. He attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with an acting focus. After graduating, he moved to Portland, Oregon to continue pursuing a career in acting. One of the original cast members of The Competition's proof of concept film (The PIG Theory), Josh was delighted and honored to have the opportunity to be welcomed back for the feature film. Josh has appeared on NBC's Grimm, and had lead and supporting roles in local projects such as Runestone, Sista in the Brotherhood, and more.

BETSY HUME is MANDY

BETSY HUME originally hails from Albuquerque, NM, and now calls lovely Los Angeles home.  She grew up dancing, and eventually fell in love with acting in high school.  She can be seen on such television shows as The Middle and Rake, opposite Greg Kinnear, and lifetime movies like The Last Bid, starring and directed by Casper Van Dien. When she's not acting, Betsy is a fitness enthusiast, teaching barre classes in LA, and she absolutely loves spending time with her boyfriend and dog, regardless of what they're doing.

JOSH EDWARD is BRAD

JOSH EDWARD first discovered acting in 2011 as an extra in TNT's Leverage.  After a few screen acting classes, he started his improv training at the Brody Theater in 2014 and realized the joy of spontaneous stage work.  He has studied improv and acting since then and has been lucky to book starring roles on both stage and screen, including The Brody Theater's "A Something Kind of Musical", Oregon Children Theater's "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane", and "Grimm" to name a few.  He is 100% completely pumped to be joining the cast and crew of The Competition.  He is equally pumped about other stuff too like cooking delicious food, singing and playing guitar and piano, and delivering the perfect groan inducing pun to an unsuspecting bunch of innocent people.

JASMINE FONTES is DANIELLE

JASMINE FONTES began her career as a child actor and model before moving behind the camera to produce film and television. Starting in independent film Jasmine has produced a dozen features since 2011 running the genre gamut, The Petal Pushers (thriller) to Boone the Bounty Hunter (action) to Just Nuisance the Movie (family bio-pic) and has become known for her work behind the lens on series such as Stephen Dies!, Wrecking Plan and the Emmy winning Stable Wars: Del Mar.

 

Her latest award winning film, Red Souls, earned best picture at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (2016) and continues to garner critical acclaim. She is the Chief Creative Officer of Bumpercrop Films in Los Angeles and works proudly alongside her producing partner Alistair McKenzie. She also serves as Editor in Chief of ACT, Dance, Model, Sing Magazine, a resource for new professionals in entertainment and serves on the board of the Susan Carter Theatre Scholarship for the prestigious acting school of Southern Oregon University.

 

Passionate about acting Jasmine also studies with Warner Loughlin out of Hollywood, CA and can be seen in The New Adult, Lost In Textation, Ad Inferos and has lent her voice to the animated series’ Private Dick, Kite & String and the feature Toby’s Big Adventure out in 2017.

GABRIELLE STONE is ASHLEY

GABRIELLE STONE started acting at age eighteen. No stranger to the festival circuit, Stone starred in three festival winning shorts Henry John and the Little Bug, Sugartown and Once When I Was Dead. She then leapt onto the big screen starring in The Lighthouse opposite Danny Glover. From there she has begun carving her way into the industry with feature films like Fuzztrack City, The Jazz Funeral, and An Old Man's Gold. In 2014 Stone starred in Lionsgate's Speak No Evil  and then went on to star in Anchor Bay's Zombie Killers; Elephant's Graveyard. Stone then took on two leading roles in the festival dramas Stray and Grief. This year she can be seen in 'Ava's Impossible Things' as well as 'Dance Night Obsession' and the highly anticipated 'Death House'. After finishing her directorial debut 'It Happened Again Last Night' she wrapped filming on Tom Hollands 'Rock Paper Dead' opposite Michael Madeson & Tatum O'Neal. Stone is currently working on 'The Competition' alongside Thora Birch and Chris Klein. 

RACHEL MEYER is FAN #1

RACHEL MEYER has been a Production Manager, Assistant Director and Producer for six years. She co-founded Vanjam Productions, LLC and worked to make films, music videos, web series and commercials with that company for several years.  Rachel has produced a handful of award winning music videos. She has worked on these projects in Oregon, New York and Puerto Rico. Rachel thoroughly enjoys the organizational and detail oriented aspect of film making. She has also been acting for fifteen years. Rachel is signed with Dennis Troutman at Option Model and Media, and has recently relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career opportunities. Rachel loves the continual room for growth, the connectedness with fellow actors, and the ability to bring raw, uninhibited emotions to a scene or story. Rachel is grateful for the life she’s been given that enables her to practice her craft on a regular basis.

CHARLOTTE HEMMINGS is SNORTING RECEPTIONIST

CHARLOTTE HEMMINGS is an actress, graphic designer and an avid Shih-tzu enthusiast. She grew up in the acting world as the daughter of late British actor and director, David Hemmings. Charlotte started her career in commercial work and moved into Theatre. Last year she performed the one-woman show “My Name is Rachel Corrie” at Culture Project’s Lynn Redgrave Theatre in New York City. She will be reprising her role in April 2017 at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco. She recently relocated to the ever-rainy Portland Oregon where she is represented by Option Model and Media and studies under Jana Lee Hamblin and Ted Rooney. When she isn’t hard at work you can find her seeking adventures in the mountains and writing in the third person.
